Lastly, it is a must for bounty hunters to carry firearms because they are normally hunting dangerous criminals. So their work is definitely more stressful than that of ordinary employees.

Although stress and danger are every day elements in a private investigators’ life, they seldom come face to face with their subject. Still most of them carry licensed handguns. Again, however, the private investigators that do this are in the minority. They are primarily hired to gather information, and work with the authorities. Unlike bounty hunters, they weren’t hired to physically apprehend criminals or enforce the laws.

It’s only at first glance, in the methods of apprehending criminals or stopping criminal activity, that both private investigator and bounty hunter share a certain similarity.

The reality is vastly different. The private investigator detects and the bounty hunter really does hunt.
