History of the P.I.'s Types of Private Investigators P.I's in the news

National firms more popular than smaller operations.

Why People Choose National P.I. Firms

Everyone has their image of the private eye – the gumshoe detective who works out of his one room office in the low-rent district and takes on the cases that no one else will touch. It’s an image made popular by the movies and fiction – the fierce independent private investigator that makes his own rules and always gets the job done.

The reality is a little different. A good percentage of private investigators don’t work out of seedy second floor offices with their name on the door. In fact, the field of private investigation is big business, and many private investigators work for companies that have offices nationwide. National private investigation firms account for about 40% of private investigation work that’s done across the country.
